Camping with 6 adults, a 3, two 2s, and a 1 year-old is just plain crazy.

I made it through my first camping experience. It took me 2 weeks to pack and I think it cost us about $800 for the equipment, the SUV rental to fit all of the equipment, the gas to get there (and to sit in Toronto traffic for 2 hours), but I am not complaining – it was really good to see our friends and their kids again after way too long a time.

We played Taboo, ate, drank, smoked, beached, swam, took walks, sat around, made smores (yikes, what a sticky mess and for not much pay-off), relaxed in hammocks, peed outdoors, slept on the ground and corralled the children.

This may become an annual thing.
