I just bought Boone a ridiculously large, elaborate train set that had to be put together with a tiny Allen key. If you have ever put together anything with a toddler running around, you know that it is ranked among the most annoying experiences (along with telemarketers calling during dinner, gas prices, and the neighbours letting their dog crap on your lawn). So here is the result; a village in my living room! Boone likes to chuck the trees under the sofa, or maybe he just likes to watch his parents go after them. We have become trained circus monkeys.

I always wondered what that thing looked like when it was put together. Cleaned out the basement the other day and had to bring a large tupperware bin full of little wood pieces and houses to value village. Sam had the thing together for a christmas season four years ago.
Next time I'll send it your way for boone's enjoyment.
My experiences with toy assembly usually ends two hours later with the intended kid in the other room watching tv while I blissfully turn the page to step 157a(ii), air brush in hand. Some toys are too much fun to be trusted to kids.
