For people who like that sort of thing

4 years ago I was in a Toronto specialty shop; the kind that is earthy, incense-y, lots of hand-made beaded things. I picked out a cone-shaped, wooden container and asked “What can you tell me about this?” I suppose I was expecting to learn about the exotic wood or how the village caftspeople from some far-off land make them to support their local school (???). But what she told me was, “It’s, y’know, for people who like that sort of thing.”
