The fabulous and generous men of Ghetto Panda, [Fashion House/Music Production/Artists/Dog Bed Designers] sent Boone a collection of kids DVDs; one of them being Tchoupi.
Boone asks for this one by name and LOVES it.
“Tchoupi le film” is entirely in French, which I don’t speak or understand even after having lived in Ottawa for 6 years and after graduating from a bilingual university. This movie is totally screwed up. Every now and then I sit and take notice of what Tchoupi and his confidant, DouDou the stuffed bear, are up to. Let me set the picture for you. There is a group of depressed children that live by the sea. These children, we soon find out, face many trials and tribulations including crime, homelessness, sunless days and having their favourite toys taken from them by an evil shadow. So, naturally, the children turn nasty and sic their robots on each other. Thankfully, it turns out that DouDou is magic and he saves the day and they have a seaside festival where there is a 20 minute sing-song, which Boone especially enjoys.

If you are French, or you know someone who is, PLEASE enlighten me. Why does my son like this? Am I missing something essential, like a French chromosome? Do children like melodramatic films?
